CBAR Calls for International Research Conference
OREANDA-NEWS. June 11, 2014. The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CBAR) is pleased to announce the call for papers for the 1st International Research Conference on “Macroeconomic Policies and Financial Stability Issues in Emerging Markets”, to be held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on October 30-31, 2014.
The conference aims at promoting interest and drawing more attention to the economic challenges faced by policy makers of emerging market economies. It serves as a forum for researchers in the academic and policy circles who conduct relevant studies and do policy works in this field.
The conference will be organized under the following subtopics in six sessions: (i) Restoration of global balance and macroeconomic challenges in the post-crisis period (ii) Monetary policy framework in the emerging and resources-rich countries (iii) Modeling and forecasting in the central banks after the global crisis (iv) Macro-prudential policies as a main tool for macroeconomic management (v) Capital flows and financial stability in the emerging countries (vi) Institutional issues of financial markets regulation. Prof. Joshua Aizenman (University of California, Santa Cruz) and Prof. Refet Gurkaynak (Bilkent University) are expected to deliver keynote lectures in the conference.
We welcome submissions of theoretical, empirical and policy-oriented papers in English from academics, central banks and government institutions. The authors of the accepted papers will be invited to present her/his paper at the conference.
All the papers presented at the conference will be published in the conference proceedings. The copyright stays with authors so that they can publish the paper in any other formats.
All interested researchers are invited to send the abstract or the paper to Ramiz_Rahmanov@cbar.az (Ramiz Rahmanov) by July 15, 2014. The authors of the accepted papers will be informed by July 30, 2014. The deadline for sending the full version of the accepted papers is September 30, 2014.
There is no registration fee for the conference. All accommodation and travel expenses of the presenters will be covered by the CBAR.
