Delta’s new route highlights its growth in Mexico by offering more options to connect main business Mexican cities with its international hubs in the United States.
“Monterrey is Mexico’s industrial capital, fueling economic progress and high competitiveness. Its privileged geographic location has positioned Monterrey as an international business destination and Delta is supporting this growth with the addition of new and convenient connections to the U.S. and the world through its international hubs,” said Carlos E. Hernandez, Deltaґs Director for Mexico. “This new route Los Angeles-Monterrey is part of Delta’s commitment to support the growing demand of business travelers who want access to the main industrial city in Mexico.”

Deltaґs new route Los Angeles-Monterrey will offer a major connection from Mexico’s northern border region to the most important destinations in Asia-Pacific, including Sydney, Australia; and Haneda and Narita airports in Tokyo, Japan; through Deltaґs international gateway in Los Angeles. Delta has made significant enhancements to its Los Angeles service both on the ground and in the air in the last few years. The current project will double the size of the ticketing lobby and screening checkpoints, open an exclusive Sky Priority lobby and checkpoint, and include renovations to the Delta Sky Club and new baggage carousels. The project has already begun and is scheduled to take place in several phases with full completion in 2015.
