OREANDA-NEWS. June 06, 2014. The tire manufacturing enterprises of the TATNEFT’s Petrochemical Complex were visited by the representatives of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The visit took place in the frame of the enlarged meeting of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan on the subject "Cluster as a profile for science, education and industry", which included familiarization with the industrial enterprises and educational institutions in Nizhnekamsk.

The event began with a tour of the JSC TATNEFT’s tire manufacturing complex enterprises, familiarization with the experience, "Tatneft-Neftekhim" Management Company in the creation of scientific and industrial cluster. There are conditions provided at the TATNEFT’s petrochemical complex enterprises for the training of qualified personnel, what the meeting participants witnessed by visiting “Kama Scientific and Technical Center and "Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory"

Currently the TATNEFT’s petrochemical complex enterprises employ 12,000 people. More than 270 of them work at the “Kama” Scientific and Technical Center. The experts of the "Kama" Scientific and Technical Center develop and adopt new and upgrade serial manufactured models of tires for trucks, passenger vehicles and agricultural equipment.

STC "Kama" actively cooperates with educational institutions, carries out joint research and development activities to improve technological processes and tires quality. Its   Testing Center is equipped with the latest equipment fully compliant with the international standards. This allows performing unique laboratory analyses, investigation tests, controlling the whole range of raw materials for the production of tires. Of particular interest to the guests was a unique LAT- 100 device of VMI Company in the physical and mechanical laboratory of STC "Kama", which allows testing of rubber compounds.

The representatives of the Public Chamber got acquainted with the process of manufacturing solid steel cord tires at "Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory". All the production processes are automated at this new line and are performed with minimum human involvement. The participants of the visit were told about advantages of the SSC design tires, and demonstrated specifics of the production and labor organization at the factory.

The guests also visited other industrial enterprises in Nizhnekamsk, training and laboratorial bases of the Nizhnekamsk Petrochemical College and Institute of Chemical Technology.

During the roundtable discussions held in Nizhnekamsk at the premises of the Municipal District Administration with participation of the members of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, senior management of the Nizhnekamsk municipality, representatives of Nizhnekamsk enterprises and heads of professional educational institutions there were considered the issues of the resource clusters development, problems in the system of vocational education and specifics of the working personnel training. To improve the higher school and secondary specialized educational institutions students’ practical training  in Nizhnekamsk the work is underway on a continuous basis to create  educational and production training grounds equipped with current new generation process equipment on the basis of the TATNEFT’s Tire Manufacturing network and STC  “Kama”   for the students to go through practical training. Representatives of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan noted positive dynamics in the organization of scientific and industrial cluster in the JSC TATNEFT’s petrochemical complex.
