Production of Cognac Decreases by 45,5% in Moldova in 1Q
OREANDA-NEWS. June 05, 2014. As have informed in the National Bureau of statistics, for the same period the production of natural grape wines decreased by 26.3% - up to 1 million 961,4 thousand decaliters (dal), and the production of sparkling wines (champagne) of wine decreased by 52.3% to 37,6 thousand dal.
Production of port wine, Madeira, sherry (Jerez), Tokai wine in January-March 2014 has decreased in comparison with the same period last year by 37.6% to 128,5 thousand dal, and the production of vodka and liqueur decreased by 15.5%, amounting 844,6 thousand liter of 100% spirit.
As reported earlier, the Agency InfoMarket, the production of cognac in Moldova in 2013 rose by 11.9% to 3 million 450,8 thousand liter of 100-percent spirit, production of natural grape wines decreased by 5% to 12 million 010,4 thousand decaliters (dal), and the production of sparkling wines (champagne) of wine decreased by 8.9% to 595,5 thousand dal. Production of port wine, Madeira, sherry (Jerez), Tokai wine in 2013 increased by 23.9% to 647,9 thousand dal, and the production of vodka and liquor rose by 28.8%, amounting to 3 million 850,4 thousand liter of 100% spirit.
