OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2014. St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko has signed the Enactment of the City Government on approval of the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of Saint-Petersburg until 2030. BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT was directly engaged in the development of this Strategy.

In the course of the first day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum-2014, Georgy Poltavchenko introduced the main phases of the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of Saint-Petersburg until 2030 developed under direct engagement of BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT, a company of the Energy Consulting Group.

Georgy Poltavchenko presented his speech within the framework of a panel discussion "Strategizing in Russia and worldwide: focus on human being". Among other participants were Igor Slyunyaev, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, leading economists, representatives of government authorities and businesses, including Ludmila Isichenko, General Director of BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT, and Maxim Bezlepkin, Senior Expert Officer of the Consulting Practice.

According to the opinion of Georgy Poltavchenko, Strategy-2030 meets the interests of the City to the greatest possible extent. It envisages 4 main areas as follows: to ensure sustainable economic growth, to develop human capital, to improve the quality of the city environment, and to ensure the efficient management & development of the civil society. St. Petersburg has become the first city in Russia to accept such a document.

Economists, experts, business community and urbanites were involved into the creation and discussion of the Strategy-2030 project. BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT of the Energy Consulting Group was engaged as well in the Strategy preparation to create a breakthrough approach to the spatial development of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. Within the framework of this work BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT has prepared clauses on the development of education, transport, power and engineering infrastructure, as well as on the spatial development of St. Petersburg and the city agglomeration.

The whole group of company’s professionals drafted the clauses of the Strategy-2030 such as Maxim Bezlepkin, Leonid Zvezdunov, Irina Bouldakova, Elena Glushak, Ekaterina Mogir, and Dmitry Milkov under the auspices of Dr. Leonid Ivanovski, one of three editors of the final release of the Strategy.
