Deutsche Post DHLChanges Its Global Media Relations
OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2014. Anita Gupta (55) will become Senior Vice President, Media Relations, Deutsche Post DHL as of 1 September 2014. In this function, she will take over global responsibility for DPDHL’s media work, including digital channels and customer communications from Silje Skogstad (42) who will move to the Corporate Strategy department as Senior Vice President as of 1 June.
Anita Gupta joined Deutsche Post DHL in 2007, heading the regional communications and responsibility team in AP/EEMEA (Asia/Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa). Prior to Deutsche Post DHL, Anita Gupta held various communications’ leadership functions with Citigroup USA and American Express in India. In her new role, Anita Gupta will relocate from Singapore to Deutsche Post DHL’s Corporate Center in Bonn, Germany as of 1 September.
Based in Singapore, Belinda Tan (38), currently Head of the AP/EEMEA External Communications Team will succeed Anita Gupta as Vice President, Communications, AP/EEMEA, leading the regional communications and responsibility team. Belinda Tan joined DPDHL in 2008 after having worked for leading PR consultancies, Hill & Knowlton and Grayling.
Both Anita Gupta and Belinda Tan will report to Christof Ehrhart, Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications and Responsibility. Until Anita Gupta takes over responsibility in Bonn, Christof Ehrhart will manage the Media Relations team directly.
Silje Skogstad headed global Media Relations since 2009. In this function, she was instrumental in shaping the positive image for DPDHL in German as well as international media. She has further developed and successfully implemented the corporate digital media strategy. Silje Skogstad changes within Deutsche Post DHL into the Corporate Development function to head the Corporate Strategy department as Senior Vice President as of 1 June.
