OREANDA-NEWS.  SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev received the delegation led by the Lithuanian Minister of Energy Jaroslav Neverovich.
Welcoming the guests, SOCAR President Mr. Abdullayev thanked the delegation members for accepting the invitation for 21st Caspian International Oil & Gas Exhibition to be held on 3 - 6 June 2014 and informed them on global and regional energy projects conducted by the Company. According to him, Azerbaijan has become an important country in energy security provision of Europe. He mentioned the role of reliable export oil and gas pipelines system built in this respect.

Expressing gratitude for sincere reception, the Lithuanian Minister of Energy Jaroslav Neverovich expressed his country’s and Lithuanian companies’ interest in energy sector of Azerbaijan, specially their will to cooperate with SOCAR. He emphasized the importance of SOCAR’s projects conducted in Europe.

In turn, Mr. Abdullayev mentioned huge opportunities for developing cooperation in energy sector between the two countries. As he stated, Azerbaijan is an open country, foreign investment is welcomed and protected in the country. Besides, SOCAR properly evaluates all economically sound projects.

In the course of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on mutually interesting issues.
