OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2014. Ukraine International Airlines schedules to start operating flights en route Kiev – Chisinau – Kiev and thus connect the capitals of Ukraine and Moldova with non-stop scheduled service. However, the new service launch on the scheduled date is currently in jeopardy.

The flights will be launched as scheduled only in case Moldova`s CAA manage to resolve the issue of getting the designated Moldovan carrier`s consent to UIA-coded flights` operation.

UIA-coded non-stop scheduled flights en route Chisinau – Kiev – Chisinau will be operated on modern Boeing-737 aircraft with a two-class cabin layout – Business and Economy – up to 5 times per week.

“The launch of non-stop scheduled service between Chisinau and Kiev will allow UIA expanding its route map with both new destination and new country, – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Corporate Press Secretary. – We hope Moldova`s aviation authorities will grant UIA flight approval without undue delay. UIA flight geography expansion through the new service launch will enable the carrier to further execute UIA and Kiev Boryspil International airport`s joint strategic plans to develop transit carriage via Ukraine”.

UIA plans to operate flights en route Chisinau – Kiev – Chisinau jointly with Air Moldova. To date, the carriers have conducted negotiations on partner agreement.
