Russian Helicopters, Stankoprom Sign Development Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2014. Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, and Stankoprom, also part of Rostec, have signed an agreement to work together on developing the R&D and production potential of high-tech manufacturing for the Russian helicopter industry through 2016.
The agreement was signed today at HeliRussia 2014.
“Russian Helicopters has a comprehensive strategy to restructure and modernise the sector,” said Russian Helicopters Deputy CEO for Production Andrey Shibitov. “Cooperation with key Russian partners boasting considerable high-tech expertise and sharing our values and vision of the industry's future is vital. I am confident that Stankoprom will become just such a partner.”
“The agreement signed allows us to deliver comprehensive solutions to all aspects of the business related to technological re-tooling, from drafting technological processes to supplying equipment, including the construction and modernisation of production facilities. This agreement’s main achievement will be to apply a ‘one stop shop’ solution to this re-tooling,” said Stankoprom's General Director Sergey Makarov. “I am confident that by working together we can achieve significant progress in transitioning the industry to an innovative development path by raising the quality and competitiveness of our products and the high-tech manufacturing environment.”
The agreement covers close cooperation on three key areas: technology, production technology, and design work. These areas also involve work and services such as an audit of the current and technological processes used in helicopter production and those to be adopted in future, developing proposals for the technological equipment of production, supply of Russian equipment and full-life-cycle service, setting technical design goals, and developing project documentation.
