OREANDA-NEWS.   Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, is taking part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held in the Northern Capital of Russia on these days.
More than 6.5 thousand people from 72 countries, including 140 and 470 top managers of foreign and Russian companies, respectively, gathered at the SPIEF 2014 which made Saint Petersburg the capital of Russian economy for three days. This year’s forum is carried out under the motto SUSTAINING CONFIDENCE IN A WORLD UNDERGOING TRANSFORMATION, and sessions are held by three programme pillars: Spurring Growth While Mitigating Risks, Realizing Russia`s Competitive Edge, Managing Disruptions and Embracing Change.
Sergey Kogogin participates in the forum not for the first time, however this year KAMAZ acted as a partner and sponsor of this event significant for the Russian economy. A proposal about cooperation was received by the company from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation – the chief organizer of the forum.
During the SPIEF, Mr. Kogogin met with KAMAZ’s partners and had a business breakfast with Herman Gref, CEO of Sberbank. It is noteworthy that such events have already become usual. This time the business breakfast was devoted to new models of education for economies of the 21st century. High guests, including President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, discussed various burning issues there.
On the second day of the forum, the Republic of Bashkortostan and OJSC KAMAZ signed an agreement on cooperation to promote gas motor fuel.
Today, KAMAZ’s top manager has conducted a press conference for federal mass media to tell about the current state of the Russian truck market and KAMAZ, the leader of the domestic truck industry.
