OREANDA-NEWS. May 30, 2014. The Banki.ru information agency has placed Sviaz-Bank fifth among the Top 20 Russian banks in the amount and number of mortgages issued in 2013.

These top banks issued 1.2 trillion rubles in 746,738 mortgage loans last year, with Sviaz-Bank’s share reaching almost 9,000 mortgages valued at 17.9 billion rubles.

On January 1, 2013, Sviaz-Bank was ranked eighth among the Top 20 banks in the size of mortgage portfolios. On January 1, 2014, the total aggregated mortgage portfolio of 20 Russian banks amounted to 2.5 trillion rubles, with Sviaz-Bank’s mortgage portfolio equaling 37.5 billion rubles. The Bank’s portfolio showed a significant annual growth rate of over 65%, just about double the 35% for the banking system as a whole.

Furthermore, the Bank was listed among the Top 20 mortgage banks with its smallest arrears on the portfolio (0.85%).
