OREANDA-NEWS. Within the terms of the contract between Zarubezhneft and Cubapetroleo for carrying out pilot works, follow-up exploration and secondary recovery ambitions at oil field Boca de Jaruco the well BJ-2001 was brought into test operation and first oil was produced.

At the present time construction of the wells BJ-2002 and BJ-2003 is underway. In accordance with the plan of pilot work on enhanced oil recovery it is planned to complete the construction of 6 wells in 2014.

Works on technology selection focused on effective enhanced oil recovery at Boca de Jaruco oil field would be implemented in these wells with subsequent duplication on the oil fields.
