Gazprom Neft Extends Collaboration with Equipment Manufacturers
OREANDA-NEWS. This year's St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was marked by the signing of a number of strategic collaboration agreements between Gazprom Neft and various domestic suppliers, including OMZ (Uralmash-Izhora Group) and Hydromashservice (HMS Group). These agreements underline the company's commitment to ongoing collaboration with Russian suppliers to ensure the fulfilment of its requirements for high-quality equipment at its onshore and offshore fields and refineries.
The primary focus of these new partners will, initially, be on the scientific, technical, and market research necessary to develop innovative technologies and equipment, with closer working relationships allowing these suppliers to gain a thorough understanding of the specific requirements of Gazprom Neft's operations, and to develop innovative high-tech solutions for meeting these. For their part, in return for prioritising orders for Gazprom Neft, resource sharing will enable suppliers to modernise facilities, develop their engineering capacities, and deliver improvements in production. Both parties are committed to exchanging information on current and future requirements, as well as on technologies, integrated solutions and potential technological developments.
Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov commented: “Russian manufacturers are our main suppliers of equipment and materials, with 95 percent of our procurement budgets allocated to domestically produced equipment and materials. Close collaboration with domestic producers is the most effective strategy we can conceive for ensuring Russian manufacturers are able to meet Gazprom Neft's ongoing requirements for cutting-edge technologies and equipment.”
