OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2014. Coal export to Russia is gradually decreasing, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev said at a briefing in Central Communications Service.

"Last year 112 million tons of coal was produced. We plan to stay in the corridor of 100-120 million tons in 2030. This is due to the fact that by 2030 it will remain a major resource for our power plants, but at the same time, we see that our export to Russia was about 30 million, and it starts to decline," Deputy Prime Minister said.

According to him, there is a need to look for new buyers in the long run.

"And we see that we will need to look at all the export opportunities closely in the long run. We are planning to look for exports both in Europe and in China and other markets," Asset Issekeshev said.
