OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2014. A new competition law textbook is published under the editorship of the Head of FAS Legal Department, Sergey Puzyrevsky (Candidate of Law) (authors – Denis Gavrilov, Sergey Puzyrevsky and Dmitry Seryogin).

The first Part of the textbook outlines general issues of competition law. The main concepts, subject, method and the basic principles are analyzed; a system of competition law sources is described, and specifics of establishing dominance of economic entities on the markets is characterized.

Section II focuses on the main antimonopoly prohibitions in the competition law. Special attention is paid to suppressing violations of the antimonopoly law by the authorities and local self-government bodies.

A separate Section is devoted to specifics of international cooperation at the level of the Common Economic Space with the Republics of Kazakhstan and Belarus in the filed of protecting and developing competition.

The textbook is intended for students, post-graduate students and lecturers of law universities. It is built up in accordance with the “Competition Law” Programme, drafted and approved at Competition Law Department, Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSLA).
