AMA Council Discusses Including Competition Law Discipline in Standard
OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2014. The Council of Academic Methodological Association of the universities of the Russian Federation (AMA Council) and a general assembly of the members of the Association of Legal Education (held a joint session in Yekaterinburg.
The Head of FAS Legal Department, the Head of Competition Law Department, Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSLA), Sergey Puzyrevsky (Candidate of Law), took part in the venue.
Participants raised the issue of including the “Competition Law” discipline in the Federal State Standard of Professional Education. The Head of FAS Legal Department, Sergey Puzyrevsky, emphasized a broad demand for qualified lawyers specializing in the antimonopoly regulation that are able to correctly apply the norms of the competition law.
“The existing demand for professional antimonopoly lawyers that is increasing with every passing day can be satisfied only by making the “Competition Law” discipline mandatory for studying at all law universities in Russia”, commented Sergey Puzyrevsky.
AMA Council made a decision to additionally look at the issue and discuss it at the next meeting.
