OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2014. This was announced at the joint press conference in Chisinau between the Ministers of foreign Affairs of the both countries Natalia Gherman and Berge Brand, noting that these funds are intended for implementation of various joint projects in the sector of reforming justice system, strengthening the rule of law, support agriculture and energy.

Natalia Gherman said that Moldova and Norway will expand cooperation in the field of expertise and the development of energy sector, support of energy security via diversification of the energy supplies and improving energy efficiency. Natalia Gherman said that Norway supports Pro-European reform in Moldova, delegating the specialists in our country, and assisting in the promotion of the whole range of bilateral projects. She noted that the mandate of the group of Norwegian specialists in the field of human rights, working in our country, will be extended until 2016.

According to her, Moldova and Norway called for the expansion of trade-economic and investment cooperation, taking into account the forthcoming signing of the Association agreement and free trade of the Republic of Moldova and the EU, which will increase trade and investment potential of our country. Natalia Gherman offered Norwegian companies to more actively invest in Moldova, in various sectors of our economy, inviting potential investors to take part in the international investment conference in Chisinau on 12 June with participation of European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso.

According to her, Moldova and Norway agreed to carry out the exchange of business missions of businessmen, strengthen cooperation within the framework of the Chamber of Commerce of the both states.
