OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2014. Government talks of Kazakhstan and Malaysia headed by Prime Ministers of the two countries Karim Massimov and Najib Razak, who arrived in Astana on an official visit has been held in Ukimet Uiy.

The parties discussed a wide range of trade and economic cooperation.

Head of Kazakh Government noted that Kazakhstan is successfully implementing the National Program of Forced Industrial Innovation Development and invited Malaysian investors to take active part in it.

According to K. Massimov, promising areas for cooperation are development of oil and gas and mining sectors, industry, and cooperation in the field of education, SMEs and tourism.

"The Government of Kazakhstan has drafted a law that would give new opportunities to investors such as stability of contracts for 10 years, tax incentives, attracting foreign specialists," the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan said.

K. Massimov also invited the Malaysian side to take part in the International specialized exhibition EXPO -2017 in Astana.

In turn, N.Razak stressed that the current cooperation between our countries indicates a high level of existing relations.

"Kazakhstan is experiencing strong economic growth now. I'm sure we have a great potential for further development of bilateral cooperation," the Prime Minister of Malaysia added.

Following the talks, a number of documents have been signed. In particular, Akimat of Mangystau Region signed a framework agreement with the companies "Kazakhstan Methanol Limited" and "Kenmakmur Holding Sdn. Bhd.", and the region plans to build factories for the production of methanol and liquefied natural gas according to them.

Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Akimat of Zhambyl Region and "AgrostanFarmsSdn.Bhd." company to create cattle farms.
