OREANDA-NEWS. May 23, 2014. The government approved a report on the fulfilment of the state budgets for 2013, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

Thus, incomes worth 22,436.7 million lei were accumulated to the state budget in 2013. The incomes increased by 11.7 per cent or by 2,346.1 million lei against 2012. Of this sum, the fiscal incomes account for 81.7 per cent, non-fiscal incomes – 3.6 per cent, special means of public institutions – 2.9 per cent and grants – 8.7 per cent.

As for the expenses, they stood at 23,901.2 million lei in 2013 or 97.4 per cent against the annual provisions, by 10.3 per cent more than in 2012. The social and cultural costs were of 39.8 per cent, the economic ones – 18.7 per cent, those for national defence, public order and national security – 9.1 per cent, and the expenses for the special-purpose state service were of 5.8 per cent.

The carrying out of the 2013 state budget resulted in a deficit of 1,464.5 million lei, by 521.3 million less than planned. The deficit financing sources represented revenues from state securities, loans disbursed from external sources, means from sales and privatisation of public patrimony, as well as other sources.

The state debt was of 23,521.6 million lei, of which 16,845.8 million – external state debt and 6,675.8 million lei – local debt.

The report is to be submitted for approval to the parliament.
