Aeroflot Sums Up Work on Barnaul & Kemerovo Routes for 10 Years
OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2014. Aeroflot celebrates one decade since the opening of regular flights Moscow — Barnaul and Moscow — Kemerovo.
Initially, Aeroflot had one daily operation to Barnaul and Kemerovo on board Tu-154 aircraft. Now two daily flights (SU1430/1431and SU1432/1433) to Barnaul and one daily flight (SU1450/1451) to Kemerovo are operated by modern, comfortable A320 Airbus family jets.
Resumption of Aeroflot’s regular flights to Barnaul and Kemerovo 10 years ago became a landmark event for Western Siberia and gave further impetus to the social and economic development of the region.
During 10 years of services Aeroflot transported from Barnaul:
— 519,334 passengers;
— 11,387,166 kg of baggage, cargo, and mail;
To Barnaul:
— 451,760 passengers;
— 5,242,678 kg of baggage, cargo, and mail;
From Kemerovo:
— 389,553 passengers;
— 12,180,258 kg of baggage, cargo, and mail;
To Kemerovo:
— 364,218 passengers;
— 11,253,160 kg of baggage, cargo, and mail.
Russia’s leading airline gives high priority to the development of its internal route network and holds a leading position in the national industry in terms of domestic traffic. Aeroflot’s domestic route network currently covers 41 destinations, including the new region of Russia — the Crimean Federal District.
