Kazakhstan to Use Hong Kong Experience in Exhibition
OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2014. The meeting of the Kazakh delegation headed by MINT Executive Secretary Beibut Atamkulov with Regional Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in Europe and Asia, Stephen Wong was held.
During the meeting, he stressed that Hong Kong is the largest exhibition organizer in Asia. Every year there are 35 exhibition events, including three major exhibitions in the world, and six on the Asian continent. Stephen Wong proposed to actively use this platform to promote tourism opportunities in Kazakhstan.
As Chairman of MINT Tourism Industry Committee Marat Igaliyev noted, the Hong Kong side expressed interest in the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism. In particular, Hong Kong has shown interest in an international exhibition EXPO-2017. Kazakhstan will present its tourist potential and exhibition EXPO-2017 at one of the world’s largest tourism fairs in Hong Kong in June.
MINT Tourism Industry Committee allocated to Hong Kong side some proposals for participation in investment projects in the resort area Kenderli in Mangystau Region, Borovoy resort area in Akmola Region and a number of other tourist projects in the framework of the Development Concept of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan until 2020.
