OREANDA-NEWS.   Working in tough economic conditions, KAMAZ nevertheless continues to render full support to football and other sports in the city.
Today, the balance sheet of KAMAZ includes assets of the Grenada Stadium the maintenance, routine and thorough repairs of which cost about 18 million roubles in 2013. These facilities are used by FC KAMAZ as a participant of the Russian Football Championship to conduct elimination games. Moreover, Football Club KAMAZ can participate in the championship due to an agreement to use the infrastructure (as per Regulations of the RFS).
OJSC KAMAZ finances in whole the Regional Center of Football Training the main task of which is to train sportsmen for a sports reserve of professional teams throughout Russia, including for FC KAMAZ. To date, more than 500 children aged 6-18 go to KAMAZ’s sports club and participate in football competitions under the aegis of the RFS, football championships and tournaments of the Republic of Tatarstan at KAMAZ’s expense. Like it happened last year, KAMAZ allocates RUB 30 million to support children’s football in 2014.
It should not go unmentioned that KAMAZ supports not only football, but also other sports. Popularizing sport, spiritual advance and healthy life-style, OJSC KAMAZ provides charity support to Public Organization Judo Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan, Public-State Organization Sport Society Dinamo of the Republic of Tatarstan and a number of other companies and institutions of the city and the republic. In all, KAMAZ raised almost 27 million roubles for various charitable projects in 2013.
