OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2014. Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Coordination Council for the Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev urges not to believe claims that Kazakhstan "loses" the other participating countries of the Customs Union.

"We have increased export of confectionery and chocolate three times, export of transformers - 11 times, shipments of our light truck to Russia and Belarus - 17 times, export of cement - 16 times. These are only some examples," Deputy Prime said at the meeting of nationwide coalition of democratic forces "Kazakhstan-2050".

According to him, since establishment of the Customs Union, Kazakhstan's goods export to partner countries within CU increased by 62.7 percent, the share of processed goods in total exports - from 44 to 54 percent.

"This is a great trend that we intend to support," he said.

In 2013, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan with Russia and Belarus exceeded 24 billion dollars. Trade turnover with partner countries grew by 88.3 percent during the entire period of the Customs Union from 2009 to the present time. Average annual turnover growth amounted to 18.4 percent from 2010 to 2013.
