OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2014. The Scientific and Technical Conference of young specialists “Metal-2014” was carried out for the fifth time at OJSC “BSW-management company “BMC” holding.

The forum was attended by 155 young representatives of BMZ, students of higher educational establishments (P.O. Sukhoy Gomel State Technical University, Belarusian-Russian University, Belarusian Technological University)and representatives of “Byelorussian Metallurgical Company” holding.

The prior directions of Personnel Management Policy of BMZ are scientific work involvement of workers, formation of personnel reserve, adaptation and training of young specialists. For an updated enterprise  it is very important to develop scientific potential of workers without of which the realization of any modernization projects is impossible. The Scientific and Technical Conference “Metal” is a peculiar ground for advancement and discussion of ideas that will help to improve plant functioning, decrease production costs,  raise labour productivity of some departments and areas in the future. The Conference contains 12 profile groups covering all company's activities: from steelmaking production to personnel management and industrial safety.

The reports of participants were appraised by  members of a special commission  including the managers and specialists of BMZ.  During the selection of winners they took into consideration the novelty of proposals, the degree of  development and the possibility of application in practice. Thereby, the best three projects  were selected in every 12 groups.
