OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2014. New scheduled services to Paris and Prague commence in 2015.

Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s flag carrier, will commence summer season charter flights from Almaty and Astana to popular holiday destinations in Southern Europe in June 2014.

Previous operational restrictions imposed on Air Astana by the European Union were lifted last month, which has cleared the way for the airline to start charter operations to additional European destinations. New seasonal charter routes include Astana to Rhodes, Almaty to Heraklion and Almaty to Barcelona.

The flights to Rhodes will be operated by Airbus 320 and flights to Heraklion and Barcelona will be serviced by Boeing 757-200, as well as Boeing 767-300ER at peak times. The first flights to respective locations will be operated on 14th, 20th and 21st June, with a 10 day rotations. Agreements have been concluded with tour operators and tickets can be purchased directly from travel agencies.

In addition to 2014 summer season charter flights, Air Astana will launch new scheduled services to Paris and Prague in 2015.
