OREANDA-NEWS. LLC "STROYGAZMONTAZH" has completed the construction of two crossings on Izobilnoye-Nevinnomysk trunk gas pipeline. The longest crossing is 1,143 m and the second is 869 m. The crossings were performed by microtunneling method. The depth of microtunnels is from 10 to 20 m.

This technology was chosen due to the slopes with the height difference on the landslide area. An application of the traditional technique could have resulted in damage to the landscape, ground movement, and consequently in breakage of existing trunk pipelines laid close to the building ones.

Four crossings altogether with the total length of 3,448 m will be constructed on Izobilnoye-Nevinnomysk trunk gas pipeline by microtunneling method. Another four pipeline crossings will be built by horizontal directional drilling method.

The work package on welding of the gas pipeline into one string, laying and backfilling, as well as the installation of electrochemical protection equipment are performed on the route at the same time. LLC "Neftegazkomplektmontazh" is the Contractor of LLC "STROYGAZMONTAZH".

Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol, LLC ordered to build Izobilnoye-Nevinnomysk CS gas pipeline to expand transmission capacity of the North Caucasus gas pipeline system. The total length of the gas pipeline is 98.6 km. The construction and installation works are scheduled to be completed on the first and the second startup complexes in August of 2014, the facility is planned to be put into operation in October of 2014.
