OREANDA-NEWS.  May 20, 2014. Extensive renovation work is being carried out at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol aimed at increasing the level of comfort for our passengers.

The first phase comprises an airport-wide transition to central security. The security checkpoints at the gates are set to disappear, to be replaced with security checkpoints at five central locations: three in the Departure Halls and two for transfer passengers.

One of the two security checkpoints for transfer passengers will be installed at the location currently occupied by the Rijksmuseum, etc. Consequently, the Rijksmuseum will be closed for a longer period. The Rijksmuseum shop will, however, remain open until the end of the summer.

The Rijksmuseum at Schiphol will reopen in the new section of Holland Boulevard in mid-2015. We look forward to welcoming you then.
