OREANDA-NEWS. Representatives from 12 organizations in the construction sector from the Sverdlovsk and Perm Regions attended Partners' Day at Neviansky Tsementnik, a company that is part of EUROCEMENT group.

Opening the program for Partners' Day, Alexander Ivanov, the managing director of the Urals branch of EUROCEMENT group, and Andrei Apanasenko, the General Director of Neviansky Tsementnik, thanked the assembled consumers for the trust they had placed in the high-quality of the company's cement for a sustained period of time. They also talked about the plant's plans for growth in 2014 and provided the visitors with in-depth information about the range of cements produced, the types of packaging used, the delivery methods available and the time required for each method.

Said Andrei Apanasenko: “Our company manufactures a wide range of cements which satisfy all the regulatory requirements: CEM I 42.5N, CEM II/A-S 32.5B, CEM II/B-S 32.5N. The cement is packed in various types of convenient and practical packaging: in triple-lined 50 kg paper sacks and in 1,000 kg soft 'big-bags'. The cements are delivered in bulk and in bagged form by rail and road transport (in cement transportation vehicles and the Holding company's delivery trucks, as well as in the clients' own vehicles).”

The company's director highlighted the high quality of the products manufactured at the plant, which have won numerous accolades. The quality of the products is monitored at every stage of the manufacturing process using state-of-the-art lab equipment. The products manufactured by the plant have won prizes at federal and regional quality competitions, whilst the firm itself holds a Passport for a high-quality company.

A great deal of emphasis at the meeting was placed on a new field of activity within the plant's lab and quality control department, which consists of the ability to select the ideal combinations of raw materials for consumers for concrete manufacturing and the production of process charts for concrete facilities. This system enables the Holding company to prepare the composition of the cement along with its clients, by selecting additional ingredients (gravel, sand etc.) in order to obtain concrete that it is of the quality required by each specific customer (building factory, reinforced concrete plant etc.).

Fedor Kapustin, a Doctor of Technical Sciences and professor, and the director of the department of construction materials science at the Institute of Materials Science and Metallurgy at the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin Urals Federal University, told the plant's customers about the links between science and manufacturing at the meeting. He has collaborated with the institute's department of binding materials and construction materials for many years. The department's teaching staff are involved in various fields of research at the plant, all of which are oriented towards enhancing and perfecting its manufacturing technologies. Neviansky Tsementnik is also the primary site for practical work experience for the department's students, which is focused on the technologies used in manufacturing.

During Partners' Day a trip was arranged for the visitors around the main parts of the production line at Neviansky Tsementnik. The company's customers were shown:

The raw materials grinding unit, which contains 2 raw materials mills with an output capacity of 130 tons/hour each.

The clinker blasting unit, which houses a rotary kiln in which raw materials are blasted at a temperature of 1,450 C, undergo a series of physical and chemical changes and are transformed into Portland cement clinker (a semi-finished product used in cement manufacturing).

The company's Quality Control Department and laboratory, which are fitted with modern equipment that makes it possible to obtain test results in real-time, so that the technological process can be adjusted in order to manufacture high-quality products.

The cement milling department, which is fitted with two closed-cycle cement mills with an output capacity of 85 tons/hour each.

The cement packing and delivery warehouse, which features modern packaging and weighing equipment that reduces the time spent on deliveries, thus saving the customers time.
