OREANDA-NEWS. In the first three months of this year, Maltsovsky Portlandcement, part of EUROCEMENT group, delivered 210,603 tons of unadulterated Portland cement PC 500-D0-N to its customers, which was 23.4% (39,860 tons) more than in the same period last year.

Portland cement PC 500-D0-N is one of several special types of cement which are manufactured using clinker with a normalized composition. It has greater resistance to cold than ordinary Portland cement, is more resilient when subjected to abrasions and forceful impact, offers better anti-corrosive properties and has greater tensile strength. Thanks to these properties it can be used to manufacture concrete for roads and runways, reinforced concrete pressurized and non-pressurized pipes, bridge structures, reinforced concrete sleepers and pylons.

Said the General Director of Maltsovsky Portlandcement, Nikolai Karyakin: “The 500 series of Portland cement that our plant manufactures, using normalized-composition clinker (PC 500-D0-N), I and II, have earned recognition from construction companies for their steaming efficiency. The growing demand for this type of cement can be attributed to the expansion in the construction of roads and runways.”

Portland cement PC 500-D0-N is widely used by consumers of Maltsovsky Portlandcement's products in the construction of bridges, the reconstruction of runways at Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports and in the manufacturing of reinforced sleepers and other high-strength objects.

Incidentally, approximately 70% of the products currently delivered to customers by the company are high-end CEM I 42.5 N and PC 500-D0-N, which are made using a closed-cycle milling technology. Demand for them has been growing steadily in recent years.
