OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2014. Simultaneous development of traditional and alternative energy sources lays the foundations for a sustainable energy Kazakhstan.

According to the Minister, Energy Forum site is of particular importance for exporting countries to coordinate their activities, as well as working out principles of cooperation in the sphere of production, distribution and use of energy resources.

Kazakhstan's participation is important in terms of activity of the country on the world energy market, tracing the main trends in this area, as well as developing further strategies of hydrocarbon exports.

"This forum gives us an opportunity to express one’s own initiatives and bring our views to the foreign governments and energy companies. At the same time for us as an oil-exporting country is very important to know how we should develop our exports in various conditions," Karabalin said.

According to the Minister, today, the question of the ability of a country to apply advanced knowledge and technology is the most pressing in the world. "The era of easy oil is gradually fading, he said. So we have presented today our vision of the future trends in the development of innovation in conjunction with oil and gas industry."

"We are gradually building up alternative energy sources, but they should not be opposed to traditional types. Synergy of these sectors will provide an impetus for sustainable energy security of our country and the importers," U. Karabalin said.
