OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2014. A Russian Railways' delegation headed by the Company's First Vice-President Alexander Misharin made a working visit to Germany.

The visit took place at the invitation of the "German Initiative to Develop High-Speed Railway Lines in Russia", whose members include companies such as Deutsche Bahn AG, Siemens AG, Deutsche Bank AG, STRABAG AG, Vossloh AG, Kapsch, ETC Transport Consultants GmbH, SchuBler-Plan GmbH and Vossig GmbH.

During the visit, the Company delegation studied developments at German firms working on high-speed rail projects, civil engineering construction projects, the use of the latest technologies and materials, traffic control systems and individual high-speed line technologies. The delegation also became acquainted with the new generation of Sapsan high-speed electric trains.

The head of the Company's delegation, First Vice-President Alexander Misharin of Russian Railways, held several meetings with representatives from German business and discussed the possible participation of German companies in building Russia's first high-speed line Moscow - Kazan.
