OREANDA-NEWS.  The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine issued U.S. 1 billion notes in the international capital markets with maturity period of 5 years under the guarantees of the United States of America. This year it was the debut transaction of Ukraine in the debt markets.
The yield is 1,844 per cents per annum that only by 0.28 per cents higher than under similar borrowings of the United Sates of America.
Subscription of the notes amounted to U.S. 3.4 billion.
Such terms and conditions of financing in the international capital markets are the best in the history of our country and it is a strong signal of investors’ community to support the developments in Ukraine.
Effective support by the United States allowed to expand the investors’ base for Ukraine and provides opportunities for establishment and building a new external borrowing policy for the state and the corporate sector.
