OREANDA-NEWS.  The LADA Granta hatchback, whose production will begin on May 14 at the Izhevsk factory IzhAuto, will feature new modifications.

Previously, there were four versions of the hatchback: standard, normal, and two deluxe options. Now a fifth version will be available, according to AvtoSreda.

The new modifications, known by the codename 21917-41-710, will be available in the normal model. They include a multimedia system, and in place of an 8-valve, 1.6-liter engine, a 16-valve engine with a similar capacity.

Additionally, the new modifications include BAS, BAS, electric power steering, power front doors, a driver’s airbag, and more.

AVTOVAZ will begin serial production of the LADA Granta hatchback on May 14. After the ceremonial launch, the company will allow journalists to test-drive the updated version of the vehicle.

AVTOVAZ, which is part of the state corporation Rostec, is one of the largest producers of passenger cars in Russia and Eastern Europe. The company is the primary industrial anchor of Togliatti in Samara Oblast.
