Miners Transportation by MAN Coaches Launched at SUEK-Kuzbass
OREANDA-NEWS. Twenty modern comfortable MAN coaches (Germany) started carrying staff at Taldinskoye-Zapadnoye and Kotinskoye Colliery Groups run by SUEK-Kuzbass.
The Siberian Coal Energy Company completed one of the phases of its large-scale project aimed at increasing the efficiency of passenger carriage using coaches and buses. The coach and bus fleet renewal was necessitated by the long distance of more than 70 km between the work sites and the miners' homes. A thorough study of the market left no other choice but the MAN Lion's Regio range models. The vehicles designed as intercity coaches fit for excursions are highly suitable for comfortable long-distance travels, and have been modified to endure Russian roads and weather, and, in the first place, Siberian frosts. Passenger compartments offer ergonomic seats for up to 55 and up to 63 passengers. The special tinted windows are double-glazed. The coaches meet the most rigorous safety criteria.
Speaking at the meeting dedicated to the vehicles going into service, SUEK-Kuzbass CEO Yevgeny Yutyayev noted that the miners would adequately appreciate the comfort and reliability of the new coaches. Transfers to the mine and back home will become more comfortable and less tiresome for the employees.
Under the project implemented by SUEK, the entire fleet of coaches utilized to carry staff of Kuzbass operations of the Company will be renewed before the end of 2014.
