OREANDA-NEWS. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has opened an application center for its TSA PreV(tm) program in CLT's terminal. The application site is located post security on the second floor of the atrium (above the food court) and is open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

CLT's unique location, beyond security checkpoints, allows for ticketed and connecting passengers to schedule enrollment appointments in between flights.

Walk-in appointments for ticketed or connecting travelers will be honored on a first come, first served-basis. Visit the TSA PreV(tm) web page to pre-enroll.

TSA PreV(tm) allows more efficient security screening of eligible passengers at participating airports. The program expedites security screening by making passenger risk assessments prior to their arrival at an airport security checkpoint.

Since the program's inception in October 2011, it has expanded to include 118 participating airports and 10 airlines. TSA PreV(tm) expedited security checkpoint lanes have been operating at Charlotte Douglas since July 2012
