Titan Increases Polypropylene Capacities
OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2014. An advanced petrochemical enterprise of the Group of Companies “Titan” – the Omsk Polypropylene Plant – increased production capacity.
In May of 2013 the Omsk Polypropylene Plant reached design capacity of 22,5 tonnes per hour, which is equal to 180 kt per year.
To date the enterprise’s production capacity increased to 25 tonnes of polypropylene per hour. It was possible thanks to technical refurbishment, the project of which in appropriate order passed expertise of industrial safety. The said measures will allow “Poliom” to manufacture goods in the volume of 210 kt per year.
Let us mention, that ceremonial opening of the Omsk Polypropylene Plant took place on 25th April, 2013. Since the very startup the enterprise received an ecological vector for development: progressive technologies are used, which provide maximum protection of environment, closed production cycle allows to minimize harmful emissions into atmosphere.
For the period of work the plant mastered production of five grades of commercial polypropylene, among them – PP H020 GP, PP H030 GP, PP H040 GP (general purpose polypropylene for extrusion, compounding, molding under pressure, raffia), PP H031 BF (polypropylene for the making of BOPP-film), PP H007 EX (polypropylene for extrusion and molding of free-flow sewer and drainage systems).
Commercial batches of Omsk polypropylene are dispatched daily to national and foreign processors of feedstock. Geography of supplies is quite vast: Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Finland, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, China, Vietnam etc. Among the Poliom products consumers there are more than 150 companies, including major processors of plastics and traders.
Reference
Plant “Poliom” is an advanced Russian enterprise which is able to manufacture ca. 100 grades of polypropylene. In the base of production of the enterprise lies the Spheripol process developed by the company LyondellBasell Industries (Netherlands), Basell Polyolefins (Italy).
The project was realized on conditions of state-private partnership with attraction of funds from State Corporation “Bank of Development and Foreign Economic Activity (Vnesheconombank)”.
