OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank CIB top managers and experts will be taking part in the XVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) as part of Sberbank's delegation, which will be headed by Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia. This year the annual summit featuring political, business, and finance leaders from Russia and around the world will be held in Saint Petersburg from May 22-24 under the key theme "Sustaining Confidence in a World Undergoing Transformation."

Sberbank CIB's delegation will include Alexander Bazarov, Member of the Board, Senior Vice-President of Sberbank of Russia, Acting Head of Sberbank CIB; Maxim Safonov, Head of Global Markets Department, Managing Director; Mickael Gibault and Pavel Sokolov, Co-heads of Investment Banking Department, Managing Directors; Oscar Ratsin, Head of Sberbank Merchant Banking, Managing Director; Kirill Polishkin, Acting Head of Client Management Department; and Evgeny Gavrilenkov, Chief Economist, Managing Director. In addition, the heads of sector teams of the Client Management Department will attend as delegates.

At SPIEF, Evgeny Gavrilenkov, Chief Economist, Managing Director at Sberbank CIB, will participate in the panel discussion "Models for Revamping Russian Industrial Competitiveness" that will focus on the strategies and steps that should be taken to put Russia on a path towards reaching its industrial potential.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is an annual Russian business event that concentrates on economic issues. The Forum has been held in St. Petersburg since 1997. The President of Russia has attended the forum since 2005.
