OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2014. Sviaz-Bank (Vnesheconombank Group) has totaled up the mid-term results of its Chempion (Champion) seasonal deposit initiative. Beginning on November 1, 2013, over 7 billion rubles has been accepted into Champion deposits.

The Champion deposit is among the Bank’s most popular products owing to a combination of factors that make its terms attractive for a broad segment of the public. The maximum interest rate payable on the deposit, including interest capitalization, reaches 11.47%, and customers may terminate their deposits early, 100 days after the opening of deposit accounts, without forfeiting their accrued interest.

The Champion deposit has becoming the leading product in the line of deposits and has had a positive effect on the growth of funds attracted by the Bank in 2014, registering an 8.7% growth over three months.

“The Champion deposit is above all a customer-friendly product, and its terms take the possibility of change in the customers’ needs into consideration. This deposit gives a free hand to our customers, and its most important advantage is that it offers a really high interest rate that grows still higher if a deposit account is opened through the Megapay Internet banking system,” says Olga Oleinik, Vice Chair of Sviaz-Bank’s Management Board.
