OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2014. Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented the Kazakhstan stand at the international tourist exhibition ArabianTravelMarket- 2014 in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

The delegations from Astana, Almaty, Aktobe and Karaganda regions presented tourist potential of the country there.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates Kairat Lama Sharif attended the opening of the Kazakhstan stand. He noted that the Emirates are leaders in the field of tourism.

The exhibition included all the components of the tourism industry - tourism international federations, national and regional tourism organizations, tourism and travel agencies and tour operators, hotels, insurance companies, etc. This year's event was attended by over 20,000 people from more than 135 countries.

As Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee Marat Igaliyev noted Kazakhstan has attracted interest from potential Arab investors. This primarily concerns the resort development project of Kenderli in Mangistau Region and ski resort Kaskasu in South Kazakhstan Region. Besides, Kazakhstani regions signed agreements with their partners on cooperation in the field of tourism.
