OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2014. In 2014 the member states of the European Union will change to using new international standards for national accounts and for the compilation of balance of payment statistics.

Eesti Pank will start to compile external statistics using the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual, 6th Edition (BPM6) instead of the IMF, Balance of Payments Manual, 5th Edition (BPM5).

The change of edition will mean important changes in how statistics are compiled and presented. Eesti Pank will publish its first statistics using the new standard on 9 June 2014 for the first quarter of 2014.
