OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2014. SORAINEN won the Chambers Europe Award for Excellence 2014 as the Baltic Law Firm of the Year to recognise its excellence in client service, highest profile, most innovative work and strategic growth.

For the first time all three main international legal awards in the Baltics went to one law firm – SORAINEN. The firm was prominent throughout Europe by winning all three national awards this year.

Earlier this year SORAINEN was awarded as Baltic Law Firm of the Year by The Lawyer for commitment to excellence across the board and a clear strategic vision, and by International Financial Law Review for innovation in the legal sector and the most cutting-edge finance and M&A deals in the region. According to Chambers Europe editorial board, they “seek to recognise the best of the best law firms and lawyers in the European legal market during 2013-14”. SORAINEN was noted as “as an exceptionally strong regional player with excellent offices in all three Baltic countries.

“This award from Chambers Europe was a surprise to us, yet also not at all unexpected. During the past five years we have received awards from all the other major legal directories and international institutions covering our region and until now only the Chambers award was missing. I believe that this recognition is just another confirmation that the values we live by, the strategy we have chosen to follow and our focus in helping our clients to succeed are all correct choices we have made,” says Aku Sorainen, founder and senior partner of the firm.

Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence honour outstanding law firms and legal professionals in Europe. The award reflects both pre-eminence in key practice areas, and achievements over the last 12 months, including excellence in client service, notable work, strategic growth and contribution to the legal profession.

Chambers Europe, as one of the leading and most prestigious independent legal directories, has been conducting research of legal markets since 1990 and now covers 52 jurisdictions in Europe.
