OREANDA-NEWS. On May 6, 2014 the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) and the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus held a joint workshop. The event brought together over 60 CEOs and experts of organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Architecture and Construction.

The opening speech was delivered by Victor Vladyko, First Vice Chairman of BUCE, and Alexander Kruchanov, First Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus.

The participants of the workshop heard a number of reports covering various aspects of BUCE's operation.

Thus, Evgeni Bureiko, head of BUCE Metal Products Department, told about the principles of trading metal products at exchange auctions as well as advantages, goals and objectives of BUCE, while Egor Svistunov, deputy head of BUCE Legal Department, provided detailed information about legal aspects and novelties in the Belarusian legislations regulating purchases of construction materials at exchange auctions.

In his turn, Evgeni Miklashevich, deputy head of BUCE Logistics Department, explained the operating principles and advantages of the Consumer and Industrial Goods Section as well as the procedure of purchasing goods at exchange auctions using companies' own funds.

The report on the topic “Buying and selling cement and ballast stones by means of the exchange trade mechanism” delivered by Alexander Shvedov, deputy head of the Agricultural Products Department, also proved very interesting and informative.

At the end of the workshop, BUCE representatives answered the questions of the participants, while Alexander Kruchanov, First Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus, recommended the organizations subordinate to the ministry to use the exchange trade mechanism in their business transactions.
