OREANDA-NEWS. Representatives from the Client Management Department, Loans Department and Sberbank Merchant Banking attended the annual Commercial Real Estate Awards ceremony. Sberbank CIB is a major player in real estate finance and a regular participate in the ceremony. The company's real estate sector loan portfolio exceeds RUB 700 bln.

Individual awards were also awarded at the ceremony. In particular, the sale of the Metropolis Shopping Centre won the nomination for Deal of the Year - Purchase-Sale. Sberbank CIB participated in the transaction, which became the largest on the Russian commercial real estate market. During the ceremony the Sberbank CIB team received a special thank you from their client Capital Partners. In 2012 Capital Partners received financing3 worth \\$750 mln for a period of 10 years and secured against the Metropolis Shopping Centre and its cash flow. With this financing the development was purchased by a fund managed by Morgan Stanley in February 2013.

The Metropolis Shopping Centre is located in the Northwestern District of Moscow on the Leningrad highway. The Metropolis Shopping Centre is part of the Metropolis Multifunctional Complex, which also includes three office buildings. The Metropolis Shopping Centre was opened to the public in January 2009. The Shopping Centre has a rentable area of 82,000 m2. A separate development project - Metropolis-2 - is currently underway with the participation of Sberbank CIB and Moskovsky Bank of Sberbank.
