Bad Credits in Banking System of Moldova Made Up 13,2%
OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2014. Against the end of December 2013, they increased 1.6 p.p., growing 0.2 p.p. against March 2013, NBM said.
The net balance of indebtedness under bad credits in the total regulatory capital of Moldova made up 20% as of the end of March 2014, up 0.1 p.p month-on-month and down 3.4 p.p. against December 2013. As compared with March 2013, it declined 0.7 p.p. The net balance of bad credits grew 0.2 p.p. to 27.9% month-on-month. It increased 3.3 p.p. against December 2013 and 1.1 p.p. against February 2013.
Total calculated allowances for losses from impairments for assets and conditional commitments were MDL 5 billion 070.7 million as of the end of March, up 4.7% against the previous month. They increased 9% against December 2013 and 20.1% against March 2013. Total formed allowances for losses from impairments for assets and conditional commitments were MDL 2 billion 558.4 million as of the end of January 2014, up 0.9% month-on-month. They increased 6.9% against December 2013 and 14.3% against March 2013.
Assets of 5 largest banks of Moldova in the total assets of the banking system were 69.8% as of the end of March 2014. They amounted to 69.7%, 70.4% and 70.6% as of the ends of February, December and March 2013 respectively. The outstanding loan balance (the principal) made up MDL 43 billion 292.4 million, up 1.4% month-on-month. It increased 2.6% against December 2013 and 23.7% against March 2013.
