OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2014. The specialized foreign trade company Uztadbirkoreksport has opened its trade house in the Latvian capital Riga.

As a result of the reforms being steadily marshaled in our country under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, small business and private entrepreneurship has been advancing at speedy rates. It is manifest in the dynamic growth in the share of the private sector in the gross domestic product, industrial production, employment and exports. It is vividly evocative by the fact that in the first quarter of the current year, export volumes of small business and private entrepreneurship entities grew by 8.4 percent.

The comprehensive support for exporter enterprises serves as an important factor in achieving these high indicators. Notably, the Uztadbirkoreksportspecialized foreign trade company has been making its worthwhile input into securing the access of entities of small business and private entrepreneurship to the global markets.

The company was founded in accordance with the presidential decree “On Additional Measures to Shape a Business Environment Ultimately Favorable for the Further Development of Small Business and Private Entrepreneurship” signed 24 August 2011 under the Markazsanoateksport State Stock Foreign Trade Company of the Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Uztadbirkoreksport is assigned with such tasks as assistance in the certification of goods produced by small businesses, in the advertising promotion, consulting on the participation in international fairs and expositions, boosting the production of competitive goods and their supply to world markets.

According to company officials, the range and cover of exported products have been expanding consistently. Thus, construction materials, plastic articles, polyethylene pipes, fruits and vegetables and melons are currently exported to countries like the United States, Germany, South Korea, Russia, China, India, Belarus.

The Trade House opened in Riga is to assist Uzbek farmers and entrepreneurs in the exports of their goods to Baltic and European countries. Light industry goods, foods and dried fruits are already delivered to those nations. Currently, preparations are underway for the exports of fruits of this season. By the end of year, exports worth 1 million US dollars are projected to be spearheaded through the Trade House.

To meet this end and in order to bolster the number of exporter enterprises and the range of exported goods, the Uztadbirkoreksport specialized foreign trade company works out commercial proposals jointly with small business entities.
