Aeroflot Presents New Menu in Business Class
OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2014. Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) has unveiled a new in-flight menu for Business Class passengers.
Aeroflot traditionally develops its in-flight meals based on passenger comments and suggestions. The latest menu has been created by a taste panel including the airline’s key partners, journalists and celebrities at a degustation held in Moscow’s Tinatin restaurant.
Recipes for the new Business Class menu were designed by a world-class team of professionals. Aeroflot passengers can enjoy culinary delights from Thierry Mona of LSG Sky Chefs as well as dishes from guest stars Kamel Benamar of Moscow’s Vanile and Bolshoi restaurants and Nika Belotserkovskaya (Belonika), a Russian celebrity food writer who has founded culinary schools in France and Italy.
Dishes offered to jury members included meatloaf with foie gras, dried fruits and sweet pepper with plum sauce, vinaigrette with salmon and sunflower seed oil, and grilled chicken with wild rice, vegetables and roasted tomato to original recipes by Kamel Benamar. Mr Benamar also created exquisite and light desserts including cheesecake with raspberry and lemon mousse with blueberries.
Nika Belotserkovskaya created a cold appetizer of octopus with potatoes, celery and lemon dressing, salad with mozzarella and peaches with olive oil and vinegar dressing, pumpkin puree soup with cream cheese and pistachios and lamb stew with couscous and pesto sauce.
"Aeroflot takes the quality and variety of food offered on board very seriously, and involves top chefs and confectioners in the creation of the menu," said Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Saveliev. "A healthy and balanced menu is a responsible choice for us. Top-quality ingredients and recipes, perfect presentation and top-class service are crucial success factors for Aeroflot’s in-flight menu".
