OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2014. At the Annual Conference of the International Competition Network (ICN) at Marrakech (Morocco), FAS delegation led by Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS, Andrey Tsarikovskiy, held negotiations with Mr. Pedro Paez Perez, Superintendent for Market Power Control of the Republic of Ecuador.

Andrey Tsarikovskiy thanked Mr. Paez Perez for the interest to FAS work and active involvement in international events organized by Russian competition authority and informed about the most important changes in the antimonopoly law of the Russian Federation.

Andrey Tsarikovskiy invited Mr. Paez Perez and his colleagues to take part in training for representatives of foreign competition bodies in May 2014 at FAS Centre for Education and Methodics in Kazan as well as in “Competition Day” International Conference (September 2014, St Petersburg).

The key moment of the meeting was signing a Memorandum of Understanding in the Sphere of Competition Policy between the FAS Russia and the Superintendency for Market Power Control of the Republic of Ecuador. The Memorandum formalizes possibility of exchanging normative legal acts on competition policy, providing methodological assistance, as well as organizing joint events on competition issues. Signing the Memorandum determines a new stage of cooperation between FAS Russia and the Superintendency for Market Power Control of the Republic of Ecuador.
