Production facilities of JSC TATNEFT in Nizhnekamsk were visited by attendees of the international conference “Partnership for Clusters Development”.Presentation of industrial the Kama innovation territorial industrial cluster enterprises was an important component of the second day of the international conference.

The conference “Partnership for clusters development” was organized jointly with the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia with the support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

The forum objective was the study of contemporary models of territorial innovation clusters development as a tool of enhancing regional competitiveness and further development of partnership between Russian and European regions and innovation clusters.

The conference was attended by delegations from several successful European regions with developed clusters on the most topical for Russia areas related to the production of products with high added value based on the oil and gas industry, development of advanced technologies and materials, biotechnology and biomedicine. The event was attended by members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, federal ministries, heads of regional innovation infrastructure entities, universities, development institutions, representatives of scientific and technological parks, small and medium business, engineering centers.

Russian and foreign partners got familiarized with the activities of JSC “TANECO” and JSC “Nizhnekamskshina” in Nizhnekamsk.

In the course of detouring the industrial site and visiting the Central Control Room of the “TANECO” Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex the event participants were familiarized with the history and prospects of the Complex development. The guests were demonstrated up-to-date technology applied in the Project implementation and providing for high-tech, environmentally friendly processing of Tatarstan crude oil and outputting competitive products.

The event participants examined the hydrocracking installation, which fully complies with the highest standards of health, protection, safety, environment and resource saving. The installation allowed expanding the range of commercial products and starting production of “Euro - 5” standard diesel fuel.

The conference participants interested in issues relating to the economics of the “TANECO” Project, equipment suppliers complaisance rules of, training and the number of personnel involved at various stages of the Complex construction and operation.

Another point of visiting was the tire manufacturing complex of TATNEFT. At OOO “Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory” the guests were demonstrated a complete tire production cycle. They started examination with the production preparatory workshop, where about 20 components are mixed together, which are required to produce uncured rubber. Further the meeting participants visited the assembly preparation shop, where parts and components for assembly of tires are manufactured and further they proceeded to the assembly section. The people present watched the process of tires loading to the shaper-vulcanizer, where the rubber acquires elasticity and strength properties.

Guests were also able to assess the quality control system of products output, including X-ray control of tires produced.

The delegation participants also visited the exhibition display which includes popular models of KAMA, KAMA EURO and Viatti tire brands, produced by JSC TATNEFT's tire manufacturing factories.

The event participants were presented information about specifics of solid steel cord truck KAMA tires design. Their high strength and reliability are achieved through application of steel cord in the frame and the optimal breaker and board design, which allows increasing the load capacity by up to 8 %. By the durability and environmental friendliness SSC tires meet modern Russian and foreign standards and they are not any inferior in quality versus the similar worldwide known brands. The SSC tires are adapted for re-treading that extends the tire life up to half a million kilometers. Using of the KAMA brand SSC tires ensures fuel savings of up to 10 %. Advanced technologies and advanced equipment quality of the Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory is also confirmed by production of SSC tires on the off-take basis.
