OREANDA-NEWS. On April 25, 2014 the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Belarus held a workshop dedicated to trade facilitation, investments, labor cooperation and tourism development. A representative of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) took part in the forum.

The participants of the workshop considered the development of trade and economic relations between Belarus and Vietnam, discussed the most promising areas of cooperation and devised specific measures to bolster the bilateral trade. Particular attention was paid to investment cooperation, including the creation of joint ventures. Given the existence of strong partner ties between Belarusian and Vietnamese businesses, this type of collaboration is bound to promote the growth of mutual trade and stimulate capital flows between our countries.

In its turn, BUCE expressed interest in expansion of cooperation with Vietnam considering that some progress has already been made in this area. Thus, in 2013 as part of its official visit to Vietnam, the BUCE delegation met with the management of one of the biggest Vietnamese corporations - Ocean Group - that was authorized by Vietnam's Ministry of trade to create INFO COMEX commodity exchange. Based on the results of the talks BUCE and INFO COMEX signed a cooperation agreement.
