OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2014. The 8th sitting of the Kazakh-Turkish intergovernmental economic commission, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister - Industry and New Technologies Minister of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev and Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, took place in Astana, the Kazakh Embassy to Turkey reports.

The parties underlined steady development of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey, expressed satisfaction with adoption of the New Synergy joint economic programme and signing its realization action plan for 2012-2015.

As part of his trip, Nihat Zeybekci met with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov, Deputy Prime Minister - Industry and New Technologies Minister of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev, and Economy and Budget Planning Minister Yerbolat Dossayev.

The sides stressed the need to raise potential of trade and economic ties between the two nations and continue existing agreements between the presidents of Kazakhstan and Turkey.

The Turkish minister expressed interest of the Turkish business community in developing industrial zones in Kazakhstan on mutually beneficial terms.

The parties spoke for the need to boost strategic partnership and trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey based on common historic, cultural and religious values of the two nations.
